Ecopetrol is among the biggest gainers since the flash crash crisis of 2010 (ec).

Ecopetrol (NYSE:EC), which bottomed out at $25.96 during the Flash Crash (5/6) of 2010, has since gained 63.7% to its most recent close at $42.50.


During the same time period the Dow Jones Industrial Average has risen 28.1% from its Flash Crash low of 9,870 to 12,639.

Ecopetrol is currently trading above its 50-day moving average of $41.77 and trading above its 200-day moving average of $41.84.

Ecopetrol SA is an integrated oil company. The Company owns interests in oil producing fields in the central area, south, west and north of Colombia as well as refineries, ports for fuel exports and imports on both coasts and the transportation network of pipelines and polyducts throughout the Colombian territory.
